Integrated Design, Manufacturing and Test
A true manufacturing partner finds problems before you know they exist. This was true for our industrial manufacturing customer that recently benefited from ControlTek’s integrated manufacturing, design, and test capabilities.
A Custom Test Solution
Prior to production, ControlTek had worked closely with the customer to develop a custom test for their product. During test, our technicians detected a failure rate that was higher than expected for some of the product’s components.
We’re in the height of conference season for 2020 and the ControlTek team recently wrapped up trips to the PNAA Annual Conference in Seattle and MD&M West down in Anaheim, California.
It Started with a Design Concept
Some of our customers need a partner who can provide a turnkey experience throughout design and manufacturing. When the creator of Microtemp came to us with a design concept for an infrared defrost sensor for commercial refrigeration equipment, we knew we could provide everything he needed for success.
Technical Knowledge and Expertise
When ControlTek's customer began to experience an increase in failures during test, our experts put their technical knowledge and experience to work to quickly identify and solve the problem.
With no obvious root cause in sight, Principal Engineer Mike Hagen was called in to troubleshoot. Utilizing in-depth circuit and failure analysis, he was able to identify the source of the problem. Fortunately for the customer, the solution was both simple and cheap, requiring just a small change to the BOM.
What a week!
We were privileged to be joined by Washington Governor Jay Inslee Thursday, February 20th at SEH America in Vancouver for the SW Washington High Tech Council.
About the SW Washington High Tech Council
The HTC was created to support the high tech industry in SW Washington. The Council also represents electronics manufacturers that support aerospace, instrumentation and unmanned systems industries in the region.
Now in its 19th year, the PNAA Advance Conference takes place February 3-6, 2020 in Seattle, Washington.
We are fast approaching the annual PNAA Advance Conference and we hope you will join us there!
As Principal, Stacey will be focused on building long term relationships that bring value to organizations and deepen the support network for NW manufacturing.
